once you hit California coast north of Los Angeles, you will be in heaven. (not sure how the PCH1 will look… below Monterey due to the past fires, haven’t seen the damage, you might want to ask some locals once your headed north on PCH1 )
California has many beautiful roads to last a lifetime. Take your time, enjoy!

I like the outdoors and nature so I would love to go on a road trip like yours. I’m getting my first car in a few weeks; maybe I’ll go on a road trip next year. When you get to SF, you HAVE to drive across the Golden Gate bridge. Keep on writing. I really enjoy travel blogs.

@ S Tanner: I completely agree with you. And really, I just prefer Federer’s classic and graceful style of tennis, and hope no one surpasses him. But that’s why I’m a Federer fan. But hey, I prefer both Nadal and Federer’s style over the Williams sisters’. Interesting how such varied styles can still dominate tennis, that’s why I love the sport. There’s no “right” way to play.

@ Bob G: Borg v. McEnroe was great tennis too, but for McEnroe himself to concede best tennis match ever to this one is at least saying something. :P

@ed: thanks for dropping by! i’ve actually been to the menil collection in houston which includes the rothko chapel, and you are right, in person his paintings are quite breathtaking. thanks for the tip!

Rothko was concerned only with the emotional response of the viewer, with his paintings. Visual relationships between color, shape, line, etc. were irrelevant to him. Have you ever seen an original of his in person? It definitely moves me emotionally from the second I walk into the room that it is in. Your painting is not bad, if I had one tip I would say, layer the background color until you can’t see any brush or canvas texture…..

As for rothko, maybe he just had a vision problem like monet, and like looking out at windows. Or at least all of his paintings look like he’s looking out a window.

Samsung has a 31″ model. But I’m more interested to see the next gen touch screen phones to be implemented w/ this stuff.

running is rough on the joints man, the only enjoyment i got out of running was that brief moment of tirelessness pass the 1 mile mark, but once the 3 mile mark hit, it went downhill.

do ellipticals man, or better yet, stairmasters. don’t laugh, it’s really good actually, it increases my stamina faster than anything else on land. swimming’s my other fav cardio activity, but i hate the chlorine.

guess that wasn’t the motivation you were looking for, but it’s my two cents on cardio.
